The Japanese word san, along with words like arigato and konnichiwa, are among the few Japanese words recognized around the world. San, a title the Japanese add to someone's name to show respect, like Mr. or Ms. in English, is a word that is a symbol of a person.
At Sansan, we change business cards (which themselves are symbols of business encounters) into a resource, and by connecting two people, a san and a san, we aim to change the way the world works.
Then, just as the word san has spread from Japan to the rest of the world, we also want to create a new value that can spread and change the world. That is the idea behind our name.
