Environmental Management

Basic Concept

The Group regards the addressing of global environmental issues as an extremely important initiative for the sustainable development of society and the economy, and as an issue common to the whole world. Based on this way of thinking, we have identified “address climate change issues” and “use natural capital efficiently” as key material issues that the Group should be addressing on a priority basis.

To help resolve these issues, we will assist the transition to a decarbonized society by reducing our power consumption and introducing environmentally friendly services. By allocating part of earnings to tree planting activities, we are working to conserve water resources and biodiversity through forest conservation. We will also promote the conservation of the natural environment through our business activities by, for example, promoting AI transformation and supporting paperless business operations through each service we provide. In addition, we will encourage communication with society with regard to the environment by actively disclosing the status of the Group’s activities.

Environmental Management Framework

We have established and operate an environmental management framework. Led by the division dedicated to promoting sustainability initiatives, we work in collaboration with relevant divisions to assess risks, develop countermeasures, and pursue continuous improvement as part of our company-wide management efforts.
